We choose to use only filling materials that do not contain mercury. Newer dental filling materials are made from glass, ceramic and plastic compounds that result in very durable fillings. We believe that these materials are much healthier for our patients.

With our Solea laser used instead of a drill to prepare teeth for fillings, there is very often no need for an anesthetic and virtually no pain, no vibration and no noise. This makes providing this service to our young patients more pleasant for everyone involved.

When a tooth has become badly decayed and the area to be filled is too large to support a filling, we recommend that a tooth be capped with a zirconia crown. This durable ceramic material closely resembles a natural tooth so it preserves the aesthetics of your child’s smile. In preparing the tooth for a crown, we use the Solea laser for minimal trauma and virtually no pain.
